A little thing at work that's now three years plus in the making is now about to go live.... maybe. Let's check back in a week and see if I've lost my mind.

Starting some work in Drupal 10 and the Tome Static Site export module to replace the Jekyll site that ran this (barely used) blog from 2020 to now.. I'll have to build a new theme but it will let me keep the static site for public users but run the CMS I'm familiar with locally

Zipping along in the rental car… on the 401 and headed to the 407.
What a place… endless traffic.. the cost of all this is truly shocking.. cost in that we’re paying for all this but also the time and energy required to sustain all this. Trucks fly along full of whatever.. people mad that they can’t do double the speed limit weave among the people merely speeding.. someone who dared to do the speed limit would surely be killed for the impunity.
I keep refining the way I lock down external access to the Drupal 7 admin site and user login page. Lots of attempts come in using “?q=user” which I’d had some success blocking but just added a new check that seems to be doing good work.
I already had a check in place in a file.. a whole list of IP checks to set an environment variable if the user is internal:
SetEnvIf Remote_Addr "^123\.123\.123\.123" Test_Internal=Internal

First a Location match for a bunch of stuff no one should be accessing off network:
As part of the road trip we got to Niagara Falls. It had been a long time since I was there last in 2006. I'm glad we got bear there as a kid. I got to visit the falls around 1990.. a long trip from Alberta.
The road trip was great... about 2800km by the time we got home.
