Boxwood hedge. The beginning

We’re adding a boxwood hedge in front. Boxwood is a slow growing shrub often used for hedges. It’s a bit fussy not lots of people near us here in Ottawa seem to do ok.

They have a bad habit of being expensive but I found an online supplier that has a nice small variant for about $4 each when you buy lots of 10. I got 30 which should do the line I want but we’ll see. Planting in a line sure can be fussy. Let’s see how we do over the next couple years.

Photo of a garden. Daffodils and a road visible at the left. A low stone wall supports a row of tiny green boxwood plants, 30 in all, regularly spaced parallel to the stone. Other plants with dark and light green foliage visible but it’s clearly early spring.
